Sketches from Devon and Cornwall, England

I took a trip to Devon and Cornwall this spring with my wife Chantal Bennett. Between trips to cafés for cream teas we worked on a few paintings and drawings while we were there. It was an amazing trip and I hope to go back one day – there is a lot more to paint. I experienced some of the most enjoyable sketching experiences I’ve ever had. Cool weather, quiet places to paint and friendly people.

While painting the Old Courte Farm house in Dunsford we were greeted by the friendly owners who saw us painting. They kindly brought us some hot mint tea and chocolate cake. It was a perfect way to take a break from our paintings
