UN Charter 75th Anniversary – Circulation Coin
I am very excited to share my most recent coin that I designed for The Royal Canadian Mint. This is my first ever circulation coin, which of course means you can now find my artwork in your wallet when you buy poutine (and other stuff, probably). I am so happy to have one of these out in the world and although I have not come across any in my change yet, I am keeping my eyes open.
This coin commemorates the signing of the UN Charter back in 1945 after World War II. I worked with the Mint on creating a design that shows Canada and the United Nations together as one partnership. You can buy a set of coins that includes both the coloured version and non-coloured version here.
It’s been fun to run into people on the streets of my village who are keeping me informed of their search for these coins in their change.
